Submitting an assessment application in accordance with regulations not only ensures your legal interests but also contributes to clarifying disputes and complaints related to industrial property. 1.1. Regulations on applicants for expertise
The Institute of Intellectual Property Sciences (IPIP) shall only conduct the assessment with the assessment applications of persons who have the right to solicit/request expertise as prescribed.
1.2. Persons entitled to solicit expertise
State agencies competent to settle disputes, handle acts of infringement, settle complaints and denunciations about industrial property (specified in Article 200 of the IP Law).
1.3. Persons who have the right to request expertise
a. Holders of industrial property rights.
b. Organizations and individuals shall be handled for acts of infringement or complaints or denunciations about industrial property.
c. Organizations and individuals with rights and interests related to industrial property disputes, infringements, complaints and denunciations.
2.1. Concept of assessment application
"Assessment application" is a collection of documents, evidences, specimens, etc. expressing the requirements, purposes, objects and contents of the assessment.

2.2. Required documents in the inspection application
a. An assessment application must include all the following documents and specimens:
- A document expressing the expertise request (Decision on solicitation of expertise/ Declaration of expertise request), including information about the requester/solicitor; subjects of assessment; purposes, contents and other specific requirements for expertise.
- Documents showing the grounds for arising/establishing industrial property rights (Protection Titles - International Registration of Trademarks).
- Documents and specimens showing the subject of assessment (descriptive documents, photographs, drawings, transaction contracts, advertising materials, articles, products, goods, packaging containing/carrying the subject of assessment).
- Industrial property assessment service contracts.
- Vouchers for payment of assessment fees.
- Power of attorney (if the Inspection Petition is filed through the representative)

b. In addition, the assessment application may include other documents if necessary for the assessment such as:
- Documents explaining the arguments of the stakeholders.
- Decisions on settlement of similar cases of competent agencies.
- Useful information for consideration and evaluation when assessing.
- Test and measurement results.
